A new Exmouth seafront refreshment kiosk will be opening during the Easter holidays.
East Devon District Council says it's delighted that a new lease for the refreshment kiosk has been signed by Debra and Toby Quine, who currently run Bumble and Bee tea rooms in Exmouth’s Manor Gardens. They are now installing a takeaway kiosk. The council says the Quines are passionate about food and it's happy to help them expand.
It's nearly 30 years since a permanent cafe at Orcombe Point was demolished. In recent years, temporary vendors have traded from the beach and pavement near Orcombe Point. Councillor Mark Williamson, East Devon’s ward member for Exmouth Littleham and lead councillor for Neighbourhood Planning, says: “There has been demand for refreshments in this area of the seafront for some time, so the new kiosk will be a much needed asset for this part of Exmouth. Having played a part in the process, I am excited to see matters concluded and I wish the new tenants every success.”
