A new way of supporting crime victims comes into being this week in Devon and Cornwall.
The old Victim Support organisation is being replaced by a Victim Care Unit based in Exeter, whose staff will assess people's needs and refer them on to a specialist voluntary group.
Anyone who doesn't want to report the crime but still needs help can access the service via its website - www.victimcaredevonandcornwall.org.uk/, or a separate phone helpline 0300 303 0554.
