There are calls for better sound control measures at open-air events in Exeter, after last Saturday's music at the Fanzone in Northernhay Gardens prompted a flood of complaints.
Residents in areas including St Thomas, Cowley Bridge and Pennsylvania said the DJ set by Basement Jaxx was drowning the sound of their television sets or keeping them awake.
Local councillor Percy Prowse received several phone calls and thinks the matter needs to be investigated.
