The search is on for a new Town Crier for Crediton.
Applicants need not only to have a good voice and delivery, but to maintain a high standard of appearance and behaviour and courtesy at all times.
The town crier must write an appropriate, non-political announcement for each event they're engaged at, which must start with Oyez Oyez and end with God Save the Queen.
The successful applicant will be taken on for a year but the contract can be renewed on an annual basis.
