Bird flu action continues
Since receiving positive test results for avian influenza in two of our birds, the Zoo has been cooperating with the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) and the Department of Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (Defra) to implement the necessary biosecurity and quarantine measures.
These measures are currently being finalised, however, they are unlikely to be open to visitors before the weekend. The attraction will provide further updates via its website and social media if this changes.
People who have booked to visit over the next few days will be refunded automatically and we are working to contact everyone as soon as possible.
Paignton Zoo says "We’d again like to thank everyone who has been involved in tackling this latest challenge, along with the solidarity shown to us by our supporters, members and the local community."
