Due to bad weather, parking enforcement in Devon and Torbay has been suspended today (Monday 19th March)
The enforcement team educate, monitor and enforce issues such as parking, unauthorised camping on our land, dog fouling, litter and graffiti.
Devon County Council and Torbay Council have both confirmed that as a result of the adverse weather conditions that parking enforcement for on-street parking will not take place on Monday.
However, councils have asked motorists who have left their cars on the side of the road to collect and move their cars as soon as it is safe to do so.
A Devon County Council spokesman said: “We can confirm that on street parking enforcement by Devon County Council is not in place today as a result of the weather. We would however encourage people to collect cars when it is safe to do so.”
A Torbay Council spokesman added: “All parking has been suspended until 7am on Tuesday morning.”
The move came today in response to a day of snow and ice which saw hundreds of cars abandoned on the roads around the county and which has seen recycling collections all around the county cancelled.
