Pensioner hit by vehicle
A 91-year-old man has died following a collision with a van in Kingsteignton on Friday afternoon.
The pensioner, who was a pedestrian walking on Newton Road, was hit by a black Mercedes Vito.
South West Ambulance Services and Devon and Cornwall Police attended the incident. The man was taken to Derriford Hospital with life threatening injuries, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Newton Road was closed for more than three hours to allow for an examination of the scene,and recovery of a vehicle.
Officers from the roads policing team are appealing for any witnesses to call on 101, quoting log 519 Friday 2 October.
