He's found in water off Cawsand
A pensioner has died after being found in the water off Cawsand on the Rame Peninsular.
Emergency services, including the RNLI and an air ambulance were called on Monday after a mayday call was received from a vessel off Plymouth.
Devon and Cornwall Police said they were called at about 12.50pm following concerns for a man in his eighties who was believed to be in the water at Cawsand.
TheCoastguard co-ordinated the response. Crews brought the casualty to the lifeboat station at Millbay Marina.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin had been informed.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
