Hit by GWR service on Tuesday
One person has died after being hit by a train near Exeter.
GWR has confirmed that one of their services collided with someone on the line between Newton Abbot and Exeter at Powderham Park at around 4.30 p.m.
Trains were unable to use the line for several hours.
People on board the train involved say that someone had decided to end their life on the track.
British Transport Police say someone was pronounced dead at the scene and that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
