Light aircraft's landing gear collapses
A light aircraft has crash-landed at Exeter Airport.
The incident on Bank Holiday Monday, was caused by the undercarriage collapsing.
Fire crews attended the incident on the runway at Exeter Airport. No one was injured.
Initial reports were that the plane was a single-engine TB-10 Tobago, but Exeter Airport later confirmed a different aircraft was involved.
A spokesman for the airport said: “At 11.18 a.m. a private Beech 200 King Air aircraft originating from Kent with one person on board experienced a left rear undercarriage collapse upon landing.
"No-one was injured and the aircraft has been recovered. Scheduled airport operations are unaffected and the airport is open as usual.”
