Architects' proposals for redeveloping part of Exmouth's Esplanade have been unveiled to local councillors and community organisations this week.
Up until now they had only been seen by tenants of the sites involved, in the Exmouth Splash area between the old lifeboat station and the far edge of the Queen's Drive car park.
The ideas include remodelling parts of the road and the car park so that traffic is no longer a barrier between the leisure zone and the beach... creating a water sports hub.... and installing new all-weather facilities for children and teenagers.
Feedback from this week's sessions will help form a more definite set of proposals which will go out to public consultation.
