Exeter University chancellor (and former Play School presenter) remembers the programme 50 years on
The Chancellor of Exeter University has said Play School was the best children's programme ever.
Speaking on the fiftieth anniversary of the iconic television show, Baronness Floella Benjamin, who used to present the programme with stars like Brian Cant and Johnnie Ball, said she adored being part of it.
Play School show launched on the 21st of April 1964, and ran for 24 years. Baronness Benjamin became chancellor at Exeter in 2006.
