Fire crews tackling blaze in a field
Fire crews are tackling a blaze in a barley field near Exeter.
Emergency services were called to the field near Kennford at 14.38pm today and believe 8 to 10 acres of standing crops are affected.
Fire appliances from Danes Castle and Clyst St George were originally sent to the scene along with a water carrier from Torquay.
Crews from as far as Ashburton and Totnes have also been called in to help.
A spokesperson for the fire service said crews are making good progress.
