A pensioner is in hospital in Plymouth with serious injuries following a collision last night.
Church Road in Sidford was close for 6 hours following the incident at around 6pm.
The 65-year old pedestrian was in collision with a Vauxhall Corsa van - the 41-year old driver from Seaton, was uninjured.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
