Devon and Cornwall police say they'll have extra road patrols out tonight targeting anyone suspected of driving under the influence of drink or drugs.
It comes after a pre-Christmas crackdown in Exeter city centre in which two suspected drink-drivers were arrested.
Nearly 300 motorists were stopped on the Friday and Saturday nights in an operation centred on the South Street area, and 18 were breathalysed.
Police say they have a zero tolerance approach to drink or drug driving.
