Officers were called to a domestic incident early this morning (Thursday 31st May), but the woman would not engage with them.
PC Amelia Hawkins tweeted "On arrival female refused to engage & instead charged down stairs at officers with a large knife. Female tasered and arrested..."
She was treated at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital before being taken into custody.
