Woman's death is suspicious
A Tiverton man is being questioned on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in the town.
Emergency services were called to an address in Bluebell Avenue following a report of concern for the welfare of a person at around 6.50 p.m. on Friday 22 October.
The woman, in her fifties, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next-of-kin have been informed.
Police are treating the death as suspicious and arrested a man in his sixties.
UPDATE: Sunday/ 4 p.m. The death is no longer being treated as suspicious following a post-mortem examination and the man has been released from custody.
