Police have closed part of the M5 after finding a body of a man on the main carriageway.
They were called to the scene at about 2.30am.
As at this morning, the motorway is closed northbound between junctions 29 Exeter and 27 Tiverton.
An investigation is underway as to how the man came to be on the M5.
Police are asking for witnesses to contact 101.
