It happened on Monday night near Nomansland, Tiverton
Police were called by the ambulance service at around 8:50pm on Monday 1st October following reports of a VW Golf which had left the road and was on its roof, on the B3137 at Nomansland near Tiverton.
Emergency services found a man - close to the scene and believed to be the driver - but having sustained critical injuries.
Despite the best efforts of the ambulance service, the 20 year old local man was declared dead at the scene.
Investigating officers would now like to speak to two people seen in the area, as it’s thought they may have witnessed the incident.
A man wearing a yellow fluorescent top and a woman wearing a pink fluorescent top, were seen in the area at the time. They were both believed to be wearing head torches.
