The emergency services were called to a two vehicle incident at the junction of Rydon Lane and Pynes Hill just before 6pm on Saturday 13 December.
The collision involved a white Ford and a silver coloured Audi.
A 67-year old man and a 68-year old woman, who were in the Ford, were taken to hospital with serious injuries - the man has since died of his injuries.
