Crime on Dartmoor is expected to increase as the weather gets warmer - but so will police activity there.
Police say they're launching a multi-agency operation on the moor, aimed at preventing and disrupting criminals operating in isolated rural areas.
Those include car parks where thieves may steal from visitors' vehicles, isolated farms where livestock or machinery may be targeted, and areas vulnerable to wildlife crime.
The police will work with the Dartmoor National Park Authority to maximise intelligence and surveillance - but they're also asking visitors to be vigilant and report any thing suspicious
