More than 30 thousand handcrafted poppies, made to mark the centenary of the First World War, go on display at Exeter Cathedral today.
Local people fashioned them out of materials including wool, leather, wood and metal in memory of the lives lost across the south west.
Eleven and a half thousand of the poppies represent men and women from Devon. Deborah Custance Baker, who's organised the display, says the numbers mean little until you see the scale of it.
The exhibition runs until Tuesday, November 14.
