Man arrested for intimidation
Police are appealing for witnesses after a shop attendant was threatened and subjected to racist abuse at a service station in Newton Abbot.
Between 8 and 9 p.m. on Saturday 19 September, a man banged on the nighttime counter window of the Esso garage on East Street before going in and verbally abusing the staff member using racist language.
A 32-year-old man from Newton Abbot has been arrested on suspicion of intimidation and released on police bail pending further enquiries until Monday 19 October.
