Exeter City Centre is to be home to some endangered wild animals next summer.
Following on from Paignton Zoo's successful Great Gorillas Project two years ago, they have launched a similar scheme using giant rhinos.
Radio Exe is one of the project partners and attended an event last night to choose one of the 40 art designs for the life size rhinos that will be placed around Exeter and Torbay.
Local artists submitted the designs which were chosen by the project sponsors and Radio Exe picked artwork by Exeter's Cleo Heard called 'Targeted'.
The giant rhinos will be diplayed next summer before being auctioned off in the autumn to raise money for important rhino conservation work.
Small figurines of the 40 differently designed rhinos will be created for the public to purchase.
