Rail passengers in Exeter and East Devon are facing two days of disruption because of strikes.
Members of the RMT Union at First Great Western are walking out for 48 hours.
The union is concerned the introduction of new trains will lead to job losses.
A reduced service will be running from London to Exeter and on other lines from Exeter as a result of the industrial action.
Tim Jones from the Devon and Cornwall Business Council is worried about the impact on tourism and businesses.
