Council can't say when it will
The pool at Riverside Leisure Centre has been closed since a fire there in February 2017.
Contractors then found further structural problems with the roof, where the building had been made bigger over the years.
Now they say it won't reopen early next year as hoped. And they can't say when it will. A spokesman saud: "
A further building survey is underway to ensure that any further defects are identified now, so that the situation can be rectified and the pool can be reopened as soon as it is practicable to do so.
Until the contractor has finalised programmes with their sub-contractors, a precise date for fully reopening the facility cannot be given."
They have promised an update in the New Year.
It comes in the same week councillors refused to overturn their decision to permanently close Clifton Hill Sports Centre.
