It's been revealed that highways workers on Devon's roads are being put in danger by reckless or even abusive motorists.
The Highways Agency says near misses - where workers have to jump out of the way of speeding vehicles... are a daily occurence..
and that they also have missiles thrown at them from vehicles.
There are also reports of motorists driving through closed sections of the road and removing traffic cones and signs.
