West Exe school has become the first to join the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance. It's part of the ongoing campaign to make Exeter a dementia-friendly city.
Pupils will be taught to recognise and understand the condition so that they can support older family members living with dementia.
The school will also help raise awareness in its local community and encourage other schools to join the campaign.
