Andy Burnham is visiting the city to meet NHS staff worried about the introduction of regional pay.
He and Ben Bradshaw will be at the regional office of the Royal College of Nursing as part of their ongoing campaign against the introduction of the regional pay scales.
They've been encouraged by this week's news that the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch NHS Trust has withdrawn from the regional pay consortium, saying it's going to support national pay negotiations.
Mr Bradshaw is hoping the Exeter RD&E and other local NHS bodies will follow suit.
