New road signs will launch in Honiton. It should save the county council money in putting out cones - and reduce the risk of theft.
A new type of road sign is to be launched in Devon.
It's an oblong bright yellow sign warning about parking restrictions at big events or roadworks - and will replace traffic cones.
Devon County Council says it will cut the time it takes to put out and take away cones - and stop them being stolen too. A quarter of traffic cones went missing after last year's Sidmouth Folk Festival.
The new signs will be used for the first time on Chruch Hill in Honiton from the 5th of January when south west water is working on the main supply.
