Armed response to stolen vehicle
Armed police have helped stop a van that was reported stolen seen travelling into Plymouth.
Six people were arrested after drugs and weapons were found in the vehicle shortly after midnight on Monday.
The van was apprehended in the area of Sydney Street, and a baseball bat seized.
A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs, driving whilst disqualified, theft of a vehicle and possession of an offence weapon.
Three men, aged 33, 35 and 45, and a 39-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle.
