Exmouth inshore lifeboat and new Shannon lifeboat called to two incidents simultaneously
Exmouth's RNLI rescued six people in Lyme Bay after a motor boat capsized yesterday lunchtime.
Two adults and four teenagers were left in the sea with just one lifejacket between them.
The inshore lifeboat, a yacht and a passing fishing vessel helped get all six people out of the water and get them to the shore at Sandy Bay.
The new Shannon lifeboat was is action around the same time, rescuing a swimmer who'd got into difficulty in the strong tide of the River Teign channel.
