Man seriously injured in Torquay incident
Police investigating a traffic collision in Hamelin Way, Torquay, in which a stolen moped set on fire are appealing for witnesses.
They were called to reports of a crash involving a stolen moped and a recovery vehicle at around 10.35 p.m on Monday night.
The moped caught fire as a result of the collision.
A local man was taken to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries. A number of people are believed to have left the scene following the collision.
Hamelin Way was closed for about three hours for an examination of the scene and recovery of the vehicles, before being reopened at around 2.30 a.m.
