The yellow wind warning started at midday
Exeter's Met Office is warning of strong winds as the next storm arrives.
The yellow warning was due to come into force at 2100 tonight, but has now been extended to start at midday (Tuesday 12th March).
It warns:
- Some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
- Some short term loss of power and other services is possible
- It's likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities are affected by spray and/or large waves
Train services at Dawlish were affected this morning because of the weather.
