An overseas student has denied threatening people with a replica gun at Exeter University campus last month.
Armed police were called on the 19th of June to reports of a man with a firearm.
Yihe Xiong was then arrested after the campus had been sealed off by officers.
The 25-year-old postgraduate student from China pleaded not guilty at Exeter Crown Court to possession of an imitation firearm.
He was granted bail to appear again for trial on the 10th of September.
