Exeter's Labour party are celebrating this afternoon after increasing their seats on the city council, following the local elections.
They took two seats from the Conservatives - including that of the Tory group leader, Yolanda Henson - and one from the Liberal Democrats ... increasing their number to 27.
The Conservatives took one seat from the Lib Dems.
There was little evidence of a swing towards the UK Independence Party - who received just under 15 per cent of the vote.
Turnout was 41 per cent.
