Rough sleepers in the Teignbridge district are being helped to get a secure roof over their heads by a partnership of charities.
The project has enabled 23 people to stop sleeping in the street since March.
The charities have worked together to offer practical support including food parcels and help with paying a deposit on a flat - as well as help with problems such as alcohol and drug addiction for those in need.
Those who've been helped include long-term rough sleepers and people who'd only just become homeless.
Teignbridge council has also played a key part by working with housing organisations to provide supported units for those coming off the streets, which are now accommodating 13 people.
The council is asking local residents to get in touch if they see anyone sleeping in the streets - the hotline number is 0800 151
