Survey reveals 'stressed' ambulance workers

The levels of stress suffered by ambulance workers in Devon have been revealed in a survey by their union, UNISON.

Respondents described sleeplessness, anxiety and mood swings ... and more than a third said they had to take time off sick.

The union says the job has become more demanding in recent years, with ambulances having to travel further to hospitals as a result of closures, and staff shortages putting additional pressure on employees.
