Two men arrested
A fire at a house in central Exmouth in the early hours of Tuesday is being treated as arson.
Police were called to a property on Rolle Street shortly after 2.30 a.m. following reports of an assault.
They found the alleged victim at the scene, who was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The sitting room of the second-storey property was also on fire, an incident that the police are treating as suspicious. Fire crews were called around 3.50 a.m. and the blaze was quickly extinguished.
Devon and Cornwall police says: "Two men from Exmouth, aged 28 and 33, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and arson. They both remain in police custody at this time. Police enquiries are ongoing."
