Police are seeking the driver of a silver tanker after a man was killed in a serious collision this morning near Honiton.
Police were called to a head on collision at around 7:00am this morning on the A30 at Upottery near Honiton.
Officers say a dark BMW and a HGV lorry were involved, with the driver of the car pronounced dead at the scene.
It is reported that the BMW attempted to overtake a silver milk tanker prior to the incident and police are keen to trace the driver who did not stop.
Police say it is a matter of urgency they get in touch so they can get their account of what happened.
A closure remains in place in both directions between the A35 and A303 whilst investigations continue.
