16-year-old hit by van
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious collision near Newton Abbot.
Officers were called to reports of a crash involving a van and a pedestrian on the A382 around 9.20 pm on Tuesday 19 September.
The pedestrian, a 16-year-old local boy, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
His next of kin have been informed.
The road was closed for several hours and police thanked the public for their patience
