Two potential witnesses are being sought
An 18-year-old man from Tiverton has been arrested on suspicion of rape, sexual assault and malicious communications on a woman in a Devon village.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called on Friday 18 April to reports of a serious sexual assualt in Uffculme, near Willand.
The victim is being supported by specially trained officers and he has been released on bail until July pending further enquiries.
Detectives investigating would like to hear from two boys who may have witnessed the incident or seen the victim.
They were cycling on the bridge or nearby footpath near Bridge Street between 3.30pm and 3.45pm but had gone by the time officers arrived.
Detectives from Exeter CID would like to speak with them as they may hold vital information to assist with enquiries. They are also keen to hear from any other witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.
