Teenagers urged not to tolerate abusive relationships

Devon's organisations fighting abusive relationships have welcomed a Home Office campaign, designed to help teenagers avoid being pressurised or bullied into sex.

It's being launched today to coincide with Valentine's Day.

It aims to inform teenagers about their rights when it comes to sex, as well as encouraging their parents and friends to be aware of the signs of an abusive relationship.

The campaign is being backed by police and Devon's Against Domestic Violence and Abuse partnership, who've launched their own online quiz this week to help people recognise the warning signs of over-controlling behaviour by a partner which can lead to physical or emotional abuse.
