A suspected bomb discovered on a beach in Teignmouth, has been confirmed as non-hazardous scrap piece of metal.
A 200-metre police cordon was put in place for many hours yesterday afternoon as a precaution.
Royal Navy divers from Devonport, assessed and safely removed the item.
Police are engaging with those who are impacted and thanked the Navy and public for their support.
