Police are asking users of car parks in beauty spots around east Devon to be on the alert for suspected thieves.
There have been several thefts from vehicles in locations including Aylesbeare Common, Woodbury Common, Weston and Salcombe Regis.
Motorists are advised not to leave any valuables on display in cars... and to call police if they see anyone hanging around in a suspicious manner.
