Police given more time to quiz suspects
Detectives have been granted more time to question three people being held in connection to a serious assault that happened in Exwick on Sunday [8 October].
Police were called to reports of an altercation and serious assault in Kestor Drive, Exwick shortly after 11 pm on Sunday – which led to five arrests.
An 18-year-old man from Exeter was taken to hospital with serious stab wounds which are not being treated as life-threatening. He is currently in a stable condition.
While in custody, all five were further arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The two 15-year-old boys have since been released on conditional police bail until 5th December.
Officers received an extension to question the 37-year-old woman, 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man, who are all from Exeter. They remain in custody.
