Work begins today to repair a storm-damaged flood defence wall in Topsham.
A large section of the coastal defence structure alongside the River Clyst, at Bowling Green Marsh, needs to be restored after a breach allowed high tides to overflow into the land and road behind it.
The city council owns the land - and the Government's put up the money
