National League play-off against Hartlepool
The seven years since Torquay United slipped out of the football league haven't been great ones.
After falling from League Two into the National League, they then moved down another tier before clambering back up again.
But Sunday marks a day that could see jubilation with the return of league football to Plainmoor. Or another setback and at least one more year in tier five.
For most of the current season, Torquay have enjoyed the summit of the National League; the only position that guarantees automatic promotion. But that fell away in the final weeks, the team and fans condemned, if that's the right word for at least having a shot at a move up, to the play-offs.
Only Hartlepool, themselves anxious to return to league football, stand in Torquay's way.
Wembley would normally host this match. That's not possible this year because of the Euro 2020 championship, so the teams head to the less prestigious outskirts of Bristol.
