A legal eviction process is underway to move travellers off playing fields in Exeter which are used by local football teams.
Council officers and police have visited JLC fields off Hamlin Lane and found at least fifteen vehicles on the site, several with horse boxes in tow.
A council spokesman said he didn't expect the travellers to remain on the site for more than a couple of days.
