A creative solution's been devised to the problem of trees in Exeter parks being damaged, by dog owners training their pets for fighting.
They've been using lures against the tree trunks to make the dogs rip the bark off.. and several trees have had to be felled as a result.
Now the Exeter Parks Watch group has suggested 'yarn-bombing' the trees - covering them with knitted wrappings to protect them.
